How to Allocate Costs

Costs can only be allocated by copying a transaction that is linked to an NCR.

This example uses a Work Order that is copied to a Materials Movement Issue.

  2. Set the filters as needed and click View (button).
  3. Double-click the entry you want to edit to open it.
  4. Click Links (button) > and click the Work Order (WO xxx) entry.
  5. Check that the Work Order is in an Active or similar status.
  6. Click Actions (button) > Copy to Materials Movement (Issue Materials).
  7. Select the items that must be copied.
  8. On the new transaction, select an NCR number from the dropdown list next to Cost to NCR.
    • Note: NCR entries only appear on the dropdown list if at least one transaction in the transaction flow (all the transactions copied from each other) is linked to an NCR.
  9. Complete the Materials Movements (Issue Materials) transaction as usual.
