Recurring Transactions Tutorial
Overview
Accounts that are paid in regular intervals such as rent, or subscriptions can be set up as recurring transactions. Recurring transactions speed up the process of capturing these transactions and ensure they are always posted to the same accounts.
In QuickEasy BOS Professional you can flag a transaction as recurring.
💡These tutorials explain how to create and manage Recurring Transactions.
How to Create Recurring Transactions
1. Flag the Transactions as Recurring
- Navigate to Main Menu > Accounting > Ledger.
- Use the Search bar and Filters to find the relevant transaction > double-click to open the transaction.
- Check the checkbox in the top right corner labelled Recurring.
2. Create New Transactions
- Navigate to Main Menu > Accounting > Ledger.
- Click Menu (button) > Open Recurring Transactions to display all the recurring transactions.
- Right-click the recurring transaction and select Copy to Ledger, then click Yes to confirm.
- A new (duplicate) transaction is created and opened on the left panel.
- Modify the transaction as required.
- Once updated and complete, set the Status to Complete.
- Note: The latest transaction created becomes the recurring transaction for next time.
How to Avoid Duplicate Recurring Transactions
- To avoid duplicate transactions for the same period, look at the Date field in the Recurring module to determine if a transaction already exists for the required period.
- The Date field is updated as new recurring transactions are created.
