Batch Updates

Overview

  • Batch Updates refer to the process of making simultaneous updates to multiple records.
  • The Batch Update options vary per module.
  • Where available, Batch Update is mostly listed under the Actions or Menu buttons.

Process

The process for using Batch Updates is:

  1. Select all the records that must be changed. Use Shift + left-click to select a continuous block, or Ctrl + left-click to select random entries.
  2. Click Actions (button) > Batch Update.
  3. Select an option from the dropdown list that mostly opens on the left but in some cases on the same place as the Batch Update function.
  4. Complete the required fields that appear once you select an option. These fields can require a selection from a dropdown list, a checkbox that is checked (true) or unchecked (false), or information that must be entered.
  5. Click the button that appears after the completed fields. This button is usually Update, Add or Remove.
  6. Confirm that you want to update the records.
