Statement of Financial Position
Overview#
The Statement of Financial Position provides a snapshot of an organisation's financial position on a specific date. It includes comparative figures (where available) and the percentage change.
A companion chart is provided. The report can be exported to an Excel file. The structure of the report is determined by the Chart of Accounts. Navigation Main Menu > Accounting > Statement of Financial Position
Settings#
User Settings#
Navigation Main Menu > Office > My Organisation > Double-click to open a Staff File > Settings (tab)
Note The defaults are the values for new databases and new users. Your database may have different values.

Accounting: Accounting Reports - Access Allowed Yes or No. No
General Settings#

Reports > Reports: Show company name in header Yes or No. No
Default View#
Button Description Reset Resets the Data Filters to default. View Generates the report based on the selected data filters. Output Output PDF documents. Options include Print, Preview and Email. Menu Hide Decimal Values: Toggles showing or hiding decimal values.Export Email Excel: Opens an email message with the report attached in .xlsx format.Export Grid (.xls): Generates a report in .xlsx format and lets you select a save location. Layout & Grid Save Grid Restore Grid Restore Default (All Users)
Data Filters Explained#
Filter Description Date Generates a report for the chosen date. Show all Checkbox Check to show all the created accounts. Uncheck to show only accounts with balances.
Fields Explained#
Field Description Description Name of the account. Previous Year Comparative figures for the Previous Year. Selected Date Balance of the account on the Selected Date. Growth The change between the Current and Comparative values. Context Menu Hide Decimal Values: Toggles showing decimal values.Export Email Excel: Opens an email message with the report attached in .xlsx format.Export Grid (.xls): Generates a report in .xlsx format and lets you select a save location.Layout & Grid Save Grid Restore Grid Restore Default (All Users)
Chart Explained#
Button Description Customize Chart (button) Series Tab Check or uncheck the checkboxes to include the sections. All the first-level sections created on the Chart of Accounts in the Statement of Financial Position section are available. Data Group This tab does not apply to this report. Options Set options (e.g. position, orientation) for the Legend, Title, Toolbox and Hints that appear on the chart. Column diagram (clickable field that changes according to the selected diagram) Displays the selected diagram. Choices are Area, Bar, Column (default), Line, Pie, Stacked Area, Stacked Bars, Stacked Columns.
