Mobile App Dashboard Tutorial
Overview
The mobile app opens in a browser on a mobile device or desktop computer. It links to the same database as BOS Professional.
If you are linked to more than one database, you select one when you sign in.
💡These tutorials explain how to set up dashboards on the desktop app for viewing on the mobile app, and how to view and refresh them.
How to Select Dashboards
- From BOS Professional desktop navigate to Custom Reports (e.g. Main Menu > Reports > Custom Reports).
- Click Menu (button) > Edit Reports.
- Click the Field Chooser (*) in the first column and click ID (make sure it is checked).
- Click the ID column to sort the IDs (optional).
- Write down the ID next to each report you want to view. The dashboard reports should be prefixed by the word Dashboard.

- Click Save (button) to save the setting.
- Click Close (button) to close the user settings interface (optional).
- Grant access by following the instructions below: How to Grant User Permissions.

- Tap Dashboard on the Tile Menu.
- The dashboard charts appear in a scrollable grid.
- Note: Each chart loads when you scroll to it; a grey placeholder appears until then.
- Note: Each chart shows its name, a small total for each series and the chart itself. Hover over or tap a point to see its value (for example, "Sales for March is 1200").
- To change how a chart looks, tap the menu (three dots) in the corner of the chart and select a chart type: Bar Diagram, Column Diagram, Line Diagram, Pie Diagram, Stacked Area Diagram, Stacked Bars Diagram or Stacked Columns Diagram.
- Note: A check mark shows the current chart type.
- Tap Refresh (button) to reload every chart.
- Note: The button spins while the charts reload and cannot be tapped again until they finish.
- Tap the back button in the top bar to return to the Home screen.
